Collision repair in Holton

From small dents to major frame work, on all makes and models, foreign and domestic, with an onsite spray booth and free estimates.

What a small hit hides

A cracked bumper cover looks like a cosmetic problem, and sometimes it is. But the cover is only the skin. Behind it sit an energy absorber, a reinforcement bar, mounting clips and, on newer cars, brackets for sensors and lights. A parking lot tap or a run-in with wildlife can bend any of them without leaving a mark on the outside.

That is why a free estimate starts with looking behind the damage, not just at it. A small dent can sit on a bent panel edge, and a crease in a fender can pull on the door gap next to it. Ron Kirk's Body Shop has handled everything from small dents to major frame work in Holton since 1983, so the first look is meant to find the rest of the story.

How the repair runs at 501 Vermont Ave

You bring the car in, and the estimate costs nothing. From there the work runs in a sensible order: teardown so any hidden damage shows itself, a repair-or-replace call on each part, body work, then paint. The shop has its own spray booth onsite, so a repaired panel does not leave the building to be refinished.

All makes and models are welcome, foreign and domestic, cars and trucks. If the hit turns out bigger than it looked and the frame has moved, the same shop does the straightening, so your car is not handed between buildings. Call (785) 364-2931 and describe what happened, or stop by any weekday between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.

Insurance, paperwork and what to bring

After an accident the repair is only half the job. The other half is the claim. One customer described an unusual situation with a damaged car and said both Ron and Teresa were excellent with their communication, with the customer and with the insurance company. You are not left carrying messages back and forth.

Bring the car, your claim number if you have one, and the adjuster's contact details. Photos of the scene help too. The shop is open Monday to Friday with extended hours by appointment, and calls and emails get an answer the same day. The estimate is free, and the shop works with you from there.

“Great experience. Painted & replaced my front bumper cover following a run-in with a goose in the middle of the highway. Bumper looks great! Friendly & timely service.”

Some collision jobs go further than the body panels. When the frame has moved, read about frame straightening. When the refinish is the main event, see auto painting and pinstriping, or describe the damage and the shop will call you back.
